amMap Flex Components

amMap Flex Component is a native components which can be used both in Adobe™ Flex™ and Air™ applications. The example application you can see above was creating using Adobe Flex and amMap Flex Component.

Main new features of the component:

• There is no need to set zoom coordinates for areas anymore - simply set autoZoom="true" and the area will zoom-in when clicked.
• Multiple data sets are supported. You can link map object with the data set - clicking on the object will make the application load the new data set. This is especially comfortable when building drill-down maps.
• Multiple description windows can be displayed.
• You can group map objects to groups and then hide/show them or zoom-in so that all group objects are visible.
• A number of zooming methods: zoomIn, zoomOut, zoomTo, zoomToGroup, zoomToLatLong, zoomToMapXY, zoomToRectangle, zoomToSelectedObject.
• List of map objects can be displayed as Tree, ComboBox or List components.
• Icons (movies) on a map can display labels.

amMap features:

• Supports latitude/longitude coordinates.
• Animated zoom.
• Dragging.
• Zooming/moving with zoom and pan controls.
• Small map with a possibility to jump quickly to a desired position.
• Can display images, swf movies, photos, lines, curved lines and texts. All these objects can be bound to the map by setting latitude and longitude or to the stage by setting x and y position.
• Unlimited number of levels - any object - movie, area, line can contain children - other movies and lines.
• Can display map charts - all you need to do is set a value of an area (country), light and solid color and the map will choose the color corresponding to area's value.

Free usage
As with all other products from amCharts and amMap, you can use amMap Flex Component for free. The only limitation of the free version is that a small link to this web site will be displayed in the top left corner of your maps.
